About
Mitchell Cardin, aka Mobis, is a Denver-based DJ, producer, and founder of Mile High DnB—a grassroots collective breathing new life into Colorado’s Drum & Bass scene. Originally from Kansas City, Mobis spent over a decade immersed in underground bass culture across the U.S., bringing a fierce DIY ethic and classically trained musical background to his high-intensity sets. His sound—a fusion of Neurofunk, Drumstep, Breakbeat, and Hard Dance—draws inspiration from artists like Noisia, Mefjus, and Virtual Self, blending technical skill with raw emotion to create unforgettable experiences.
After moving to Denver in late 2022, Mobis quickly spotted a void in the local DnB landscape. Determined to build community around the music he loves, he launched Mile High DnB in spring 2024. What began as a simple event calendar quickly grew into a thriving platform connecting fans, DJs, and promoters, with a mission rooted in collaboration over competition. He has rapidly cemented himself as synonymous with Denver Drum & Bass through bookings as direct support for industry giants like Deekline, Benny Page, Muzz, and Mat Zo, with appearances via Insomniac, Sounds Of Bass, sub.mission, and more.
Mobis brings a “we all eat” mentality to the table—prioritizing fair pay, inclusivity, and artist empowerment in a scene often dominated by gatekeepers. From community-forward events like Liquid Sunday and DnBrunch (featured at AMF’s Friendship Festival) to high-energy club nights and takeovers at Bar Standard and Beacon, Mile High DnB has quickly become a cornerstone of the local underground.
With his debut EP Faces dropping in 2025, Mobis continues pushing boundaries and growing the scene from the inside out—one beat, one story, one bassline at a time.
